BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura Release Notes
BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura is the latest version distribution of BlankOn Linux. The distribution is developed by Yayasan Penggerak Linux Indonesia (YPLI) and BlankOn Development Team. BlankOn Linux is a Linux distribution which fulfills Indonesian specific market demands which bring various softwares which are often used by people, such as office programs, finance application, Internet, drawing (either vector and bitmap), support for various multimedia, and many interesting applications.
BlankOn Linux is not only made because of a desire to make a new Linux distribution, but is more motivated by the dream of increasing quality and quantity of Indonesian people skills in open source softwares. In fact, it is aligned with one of the special characteristics of Indonesian people which is to have mutual coorporation spirit.
BlankOn Development Team believe that Indonesian people have capabilities and they are not inferior to other people in the world. Because of that, we actively invite everyone who has interest and same spirit to join in BlankOn development.
Pattimura name is taken from one of Indonesian National Heroes, Thomas Matulessy which is also known as "Pattimura".

Traditional scripts
BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura supports six kinds of '''Indonesian traditional scripts''', which are Buginese, Batak Toba , Balinese, Sundanese, Rejang, and Javanese. Rejang and Javanese scripts are the new additions.
Stardict
BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura provides '''Stardict''' which supports translation from English into Bahasa Indonesia and vice-versa. Another translations which are provided by BlankOn Repository Package are Basa Sunda into Bahasa Indonesia (vv), Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia, and Thesaurus of Bahasa Indonesia.
Chromium web Browser
BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura ships with '''Chromium''' web browser 15 version for fast access to your favorite websites. Light, easy to use and safe. It also supports HTML5.
Exaile Music Player
BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura gives full support to entertainment, graphics and video editing. You can watch movie, listen music, and design graphics with open source softwares such as GIMP, Inkscape, and edit your videos with PiTiVi.

BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura can be downloaded from Download Center CD BlankOn in the form of Live CD.No matter your operating System currently, Live CD will give more advantages, complete with general applications, all of them run from your CD drive - your hard drive won't be touched at all. If you want BlankOn Pattimura run with full speed then you can install BlankOn Pattimura to your computer.
